An educational video

In the morning The Sun newspaper called, and the Ofcom regulator was not happy about my video, and the hard-core sex it showed, even with an 18-Rating mail order.

There were other videos out there that showed couples having sex in a clinical fashion, but my video was kind of unique in that it detailed how to give a lady a vagina massage.

Taking High Court legal action would use up any profit that the video made, so for now we would concentrate on Germany and Europe, a legal appeal to be made to the regulators here in Britain.

I spoke to Rolf, and our German publisher was ready to release it, and the regulators there had already approved it. I gave the go ahead, to release it in Germany.

Rolf suggested, ‘British people could buy it from Holland.’

‘Not in large numbers, and we want the large numbers.’

David Hutton spoke to Trench, and Trench pointed out that shops in Soho, London, sold hard core sex tapes, and without the medical commentary.

Trench then spoke with the legal team at The Sun, and The Sun sent a shitty fax to the regulator, and The Sun would sell the tape anyhow. It would be up to the regulator to prove a case in court.

Trench also pointed out that in the back of British porn magazines such as Penthouse, mail order hard-core videos were available - and what was the regulator on about with my video? I was starting to suspect foul play, in that the regulator was acting oddly.

David Hutton put together a one-page summary, and he sent it to all media outlets in the country – including the BBC, and it basically suggested that the regulator was picking on me and being unfair.

At 1pm the BBC news ran the story, an expert sat in the studios and explaining that videos much worse than mine were on sale in shops in London and Birmingham, as well as by mail order, and that they had been for years – so where was the regulator?

By 6pm most media outlets were running the story, and my video was getting a shit load of free publicity. I had Trench release a statement that we would be taking High Court legal action against the regulator, which we wouldn’t, it would waste too much money.

At 10pm the regulator had ‘reconsidered’ the tape and it would be available for purchase mail order, but with an R-Unabridged rating not an 18-Rating.

The Sun newspaper said to hell with them anyhow, and would release it with the existing 18-Rating since it was educational, and they had – at my request – sent the video to most media outlets.
